Material: Brass electrical connectors. These cuttings are after the tool had 6.3 Million die strokes without resharpening. The shear edge characteristic indicates essentially no tool wear! We see no need to sharpen the die.

Pierce Punch & Die sharpening: Part 1240 (Hard Stainless) has shown a dramatic reduction of 582.9% in piercing punch and die sharpening. 527,500 parts/sharp vs. 77,273 parts/sharp..This is an expected effect of 'Fast Piercing' and is also due to reduced material spring back on the return stroke

 

Rollover: The rollover decreased by 55 .5% consistently across all three apertures on part 1240.

 

Aperture Features: The diameter features for both parts improved with the 'Fast Piercing' equipment. (overall improvement 24.8%)
